I regret to inform everyone that Beach Hut Man has survived another week.

At this point, I no longer move the bottle. I don't wear it. I don't reach for it. I don't even really look at it anymore. It simply occupies its assigned position on the shelf, secure in the knowledge that every attempt to remove it has failed.

We have developed an understanding.

I pay the mortgage. Beach Hut Man lives here. Nevertheless, the eviction proceedings continue.

For those unfamiliar with this increasingly embarrassing saga: I hold a deep appreciation for my bottle of Beach Hut Man. It smells fantastic, and it performs like it was formulated during a period when IFRA was merely a suggestion. The simple fact is I just have too many fragrances and would prefer to experience the brief dopamine surge associated with acquiring a different one.

This should have been a simple transaction.

Yes, the box requirement has survived into Round 4. No, prolonged exposure to the realities of the secondary fragrance market has not caused me to reconsider it.
